ICSI ( INTRACYTOPLASMIC SPERM INJECTION ) Treatment

What is ICSI : Intracytoplasmic sperm injection is a micro manipulation technique used in the process of fertilization (IVF) . It involves injecting a single sperm into the center of a mature oocyte under a microscope (i.e. injecting sperms through the egg’s shell so that sperm does not need to penetrate the shell in order to fertilize the egg). ICSI is also known as Micromanipulation and involves sophisticated and advanced techniques and equipments. IUI –INTRAUTERINE INSEMINATION OR ARTIFICIAL INSEMINATION (AI)

IUI Treatment, or intrauterine insemination, is a relatively simple first line Infertility treatment. It involves a laboratory procedure to separate fast moving sperms from sluggish or nonmoving sperms. Then these washed sperms with the help of small tube are placed directly into the uterus close to the time of ovulation when the egg is released from the ovary.
